This creates a gap between current practice (what is) and the more rigorous, resident-centered standard now required for diagnosis-tied indications, alternatives-first sequencing, PRN time limits, and gradual dose reduction (what should be). The session will provide a comprehensive review of the federal regulatory changes governing psychotropic medication management in long-term care that took effect on April 28, 2025.
